Water and sand have always been critical to the life in the UAE. The men lived by trade, fisheries and culture of pearls until the oil enriches them in a very short time. In less than 30 years, seven emirates developed a modern facilities whilst retaining their traditional values and customs.
In the souk, the traditional market place, you can admire the work of craftsmen dressed in their traditional dress or ride a camel.
A sandy path from the desert leads to a tower protected by a canvas tent where gathered information on the protection of natural resources, water and plants. The arid nature was transformed in 25 years in "Garden of the Gulf region." The UAE are a demonstration of the association of technical installations of solar energy or using projets crop plants resistant to salinity.
